Description
The Air plugin separates the harmonic content and the noise content of a sound and remixes them. The harmonic content consists in pure frequencies, which define for example the pitch of a sound. The noise content is for example the breath in a singing voice or the transients. The Air plugin can be used for example to extract and increase the air of a vocal sound.
Principle:
The Air plugin uses partial tracking to track pure frequencies over time. Once the pure frequencies are identified, they can be extracted. The remaining part of the sound consists in noise (breath noise, transients…). The plugin provides a mix parameter, for choosing between pure frequencies only, noise only, or a mix of both between pure frequencies and noise.
Features:
- Separate pure frequencies and noise
- Mix between pure frequencies and noise
- Partial tracking detection threshold
- Output gain
Disclaimer:
The quality of the result sound may vary, depending on the quality of the original sound, and if the mix parameter is pushed to extreme values. It is recommended to test the trial versions below.
